Sorry it's tilted funny. I should have switched lenses.
For those perhaps not fluent in 2nd grade sound-it-out spelling, numbers 8, 9 and 10 are clothes, jewelry, and magazine. I needed clarification on that last one myself. She's referring to the American Girl magazine.
Then we watched Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure a few times in the past week or so (remember how we were over Dora? She's back. She never left, actually, I'm pretty sure we will always have a special place in our hearts and on our DVD shelf for her.) which has the Christmas-is-about-giving-and-sharing-and-caring thematic elements, and I think it made Aliza rethink her list. So her new list is more of a letter, and looks like this:
Much less me-oriented, although she is still a child after all, so if Santa could possibly manage some M&Ms or Hershey's Kisses....she'd be obliged. She and I both.
Then she realized she better write up a couple of notes for the boys. Here they are:
Someday I hope the boys will realize how lucky they are to have such a loving big sister, to look out for them at Christmas this way. They have been good boys!

So she still believes, eh? So does Emily and she is 11. Yes I did tell her the truth but then she wanted to believe so badly Tyler said that I was wrong and he has been keeping the lie going for the past 3 years.
It is a lot of work.
