Our firstborn was born in January. And right away we realized we had created the most gorgeous, brilliant, charming, laid-back, friendly, personable little human ever. (We weren't proud parents or anything.)
And cute. Did I mention cute? Couldn't have been more beautiful. Right? Look at those curls? Could have died with cuteness.
She was such a great baby because we were great parents, right? We took all the credit. Gave none to fate or to God.
So of course we decided, we HAD to have another one just like her almost immediately.
And this is how that turned out.
They were a little bit different.
People would ask how much harder it was to raise twins than a singleton. I'd usually say it wasn't twice as hard. It was more like 12 times as hard.
Wonder if the Fragile X Syndrome had anything to do with that. Probably.
You know, I asked for a sister. |
We are learning to walk on hot coals through a flower garden. But the day is still a sunny one.
