Right now, there's a huge need to to keep Fragile X in the federal budget. Research for Fragile X also benefits autism, by the way. You knew that, right? Fragile X is the most common known genetic cause of autism. They know exactly what gene causes it. If you read this blog you know a lot of exciting research has been going on, and that we've taken part in a clincal drug trial that is helping the boys so much by reducing their anxiety and increasing their verbal abilities.
Granted, I may be a little biased. *smile* But it really seems like this is a syndrome where research is on the cusp of a breakthrough. Don't let it slow down now!

And fill in your name, address, and a personal statement. Something like
"My friends Zachary and Andrew Korman have Fragile X Syndrome. Their mom had no idea she carried the gene until they were diagnosed."
Then click on "Review your message" and it'll show you your congress-people, and the text of the letters it will send.
Thank you so much. It means a lot to me that you're willing to take 35 seconds out of your day to help us!
As thanks, check out these crazy cute pictures I took of the boys playing outside yesterday. I might have to look into getting Zack a man-purse for all the stuff he insists on carrying around with him.
Just because I like to carry The Wiggles around with me, don't think I'm a softy. Check out that skull & crossbones. |
