Got a little snow yesterday, around 10 inches, to Aliza's utter delight. The boys are not big fans of the cold weather stuff. They just see snow as a barrier to their getting to the slide, swings, and trampoline. I guess the lack of pretend-play ability makes it hard to see the possibilities of snow.

It sure was pretty though. There's something about the first big snowfall that is really inspiring. Makes me put on Mark's boots and tromp through the yard, hiding my camera under my jacket to protect it from the wet snow while I look for the perfect shot. I never feel like I find it, but months later, looking back, I like all of the pictures I took. I need distance from my own work, I guess, to appreciate it.
